The Adventures of Mark & Adrienne

The Ultimate Ham.
C-Man had his 4th Grade 'Utah' program last week and I was fortunate enough to get off work to check it out. First I must say I have no idea where he got this from! Second, this kid is a total H.A.M! Really! He did such a great job and has got to be the cutest kid in the 4th Grade. I sure love him lots! Life wouldn't be the same without him!

J&K
Two weekends ago I had the opportunity to take some photos of these two little guys...
They were an absolute riot. Every time we'd get them sitting together one would stand up. Then, once you got him to sit back down the other would go the opposite direction. These little 1-year-olds were busy and so full of life. I loved trailing them around and watching them explore. Thanks to their parents for letting me spend time with them, and for letting me practice capturing their fun personalities.

G.
Today I had the opportunity to photograph this little guy. He's 5 days old and so sweet. His mom works with Mark, and played a huge role in training him when he started at Goldman. She took special interest in training Mark when large responsibilities were placed on him early on. She would come in early and sacrifice much of her time to help. In some small way we were able to return the favor.
I couldn't have asked for a better baby/parents in my first newborn shoot. They were so patient with me and so trusting with their most prized possession. Thank you so much for letting me be a part of this special time.

Yale Avenue
We bought a house! A little 1921 bungalow on Yale Avenue, just off of 9th & 9th. The street we live on is so narrow you'd think it was one way, but it isn't. There are 186654327 little boys running around the neighborhood with Nerf Guns and skateboards, I love the sounds they make. There are trees up and down the street (just what I wanted). We walked to Mazza Friday night for dinner, not on the main road, but down a little ally a few houses down. Tonight we enjoyed the beautiful weather and rode our bikes around Liberty Park. We walked about 6 houses up the street to church this morning. Needless to say, I think we're gonna love it here.
We couldn't have found a more perfect home. The kitchen meets my criteria perfectly. I have already run the dishwasher twice :). My favorite part....the kitchen/dining room/living room all run together. Cannot wait to entertain! Oh, and yes, it's 1921but it was just remodeled. A new home in a wonderful old shell.

Best. Husband. Ever.
You know you married the right guy when he hikes up his sweats, slaps on the rubber gloves, and plunges into the shower drain to clean out YOUR long curly hair that YOU have shed. All of this because your gag reflex doesn't allow you to do it.
Thanks honey, for being my Man!

Pizza.
In my opinion Pizza is a top 10 comfort food, right up there with ice cream, burritos, and chocolate (all kinds). Unfortunately comfort foods don't always mean healthy, but why should that stop you? It shouldn't. You can make them healthy (well maybe not chocolate). Tonight Mark and I made pizza. Delicious, hot, make you drool pizza. Yes, it had a white crust, but it was thin and crunchy with a bit of honey in it. Add peppers, chicken, goat cheese (best pizza topping ever), garlic, spices, green onions, low fat mozzarella and BAM! you got your self a darn good pizza. For those that prefer a little different taste try it with a balsamic reduction, chicken, garlic chunks, goat cheese (of course!), and a little bit of fontina or gruyere. Saute up the garlic with some onions and olive oil, brush the crust with balsamic and let the cheeses melt together!

Bug.
This is my Bug. I wish I had a picture of her about 16 years ago when she had the cutest, chubbiest cheeks in the world. She has since lost the chubby cheeks and has turned into a beautiful young woman that is about to graduate high school. I can't believe it. She's put up with me painting her nails, doing her hair, and dressing her up for pictures for many years. I'm glad that she has been my Bug since she was little. Life wouldn't be the same without her. Thanks Bug, for letting me do your hair, makeup, and take your pictures one more time! Love you lots!
